I blame entirely myself.
I was too tired. Handling everything on my own (the fact that having a sister around is not much of a help either). Amna woke up around midnight as she feels hungry. I went to the kitchen and before that I put her on the chair by the dining table (it flashed to me that I WAS afraid that Amna would fall down but seeing her Cip Ana was there too, I brushed off the feeling). I asked my sister to look after Amna as I was preparing for some drinks.
Seconds later I heard Amna was crying and asked my sister what happened. I carried Amna hurrily and checked her mouth - it was bleeding! I cried, frantically getting ready and tried breastfeeding Amna. At first she cried and later she latched on just fine. And we rushed to the emergency unit that midnight.
At the triage counter, the MAs checked on Amna,
"Jatuh katil ke?"
"Tak, jatuh tersembam dari kerusi. Baru je tadi."
"Ada muntah tak? Minum susu ok? Ada pengsan?"
"Takde. Minum susu ok. It's just saya takut dia tergigit lidah ke, gigi termasuk ke dalam ke."
"Ok, adik... bukak mulut ye...*pegang mulut Amna and Amna stared at them quizzically*"
"Nanti jumpa doktor. Ni luka bahagian dlam bibir je ni. Lidah ok semua".

Phew.
Waiting for almost 90 minutes, and Amna was acting like nothing happened! Behaved very well, siap main iPad Cip Ana. Macam tak sakit langsung.

The doctor said it's ok and prescribed paracetamol. Pfftttt... I expected some ointment to put on Amna's injured lip. Takde. So I have to get Bonjela fearing that the soon-to-be ulcer would irritate Amna and she will be in pain. So semalam and today Amna tak gosok gigi. Huhuhuhuhuuuu... Nangissss... Today will try to check on her teeth and have a rub on it. Mana boleh makan tak gosok gigi kan?
So semalam I took EL and brought Amna late afternoon. Gembira la dia main kat ofis! Habis bersepah bilik Ibu.
Kesimpulannya, we parents may see at things and took it for granted. Amna dah pandai turun sendiri does not mean she won't fall. Lesson learnt. Uhuhuhuhuhuhuuu
P/s: Baru lepas kena bebel dengan husband on the phone. He called all the way from the oil rig. Wayyyy to start a day! Sadis.

The first time my son got injured, mmg kelam kabut smapi kita nak nanges sama..Tapi dia nanges sekejap je. After that main macam takde ape2.. At the age of 21months, dah 3 kali dah dia luka berdarah kat bibir. Tapi semua pun, dia nanges dlm 5 mnt je. Then lupa dah rase sakit. Selalu blame diri sendiri bila jd cmtu. Tapi mak ckp, biasalah proses anak membesar. Jatuh, luka tu biasa..

My friend baru je bagitau yg his son pernah terjatuh n gigi dia patah dalam. The tooth ended up kaler kelabu. I am so afraid that would happen to Amna. Tomorrow nak check her teeth pulak takut jadi apa2. Huhuhuhu.

Niha, Shiannya Amna...Mujurlah tak ada apa2. Kalau i pun i panik kot. Just nak share some tips. Beli & simpan VCO kat rumah. Minyak kelapa dara bagus untuk luka2 macam tu. Then, kalau amna dah boleh makan ice-cream nanti sediakan ice-cream yg mcm mini cornetto tu sbb ice-cream adalah ice yg bagus untuk menahan pendarahan & tenangkan budak. Harits penah kena darah bibir tapi masa tu dah 2tahun la. I bagi ice-cream je then apply VCO. Kejap je dah baik :)
Iema : I siap pegi dentist tadi nak check gigi ok ke tak. Huhuhuhuuuu... Alhamdulillah ok. Nak kena jaga betul2 ni.
